PDP Goal 2010 - 2011 ... Kathryn All

My professional development goal for the 2010 - 2011 school year is to create authentic assessments that demonstrate the stated growth on student IEPs within IEP due dates.

My motivation for choosing this goal is to not only teach the students that I work with skills that they use in school, but to give them opportunities to transfer the material that they have learned to other locations and situations outside of school and make applicable assessments.

  1. So you're creating assessments-- I look forward to seeing how you do those! I on the otherhand will be trying to keep track of data and make it meaningful..after all, if I do all the work of collecting it, I may as well use it, right?!

  2. In EC we are using an assessment tool that we end up not using the data for. We too are in the process of finding something new that will be usefull and not take as much time to complete.

  3. Using the concept of your IEP assessment idea, my PDP goal, is to create a document/graph/spreadsheet of my IEP students with their needs charted with an "X" so in a class of near 40 I can quickly indentify and plan accordinly an atmosphere that best suits them.
