My 2010-2011 PDP

This school year, I will implement a Reader's and Writer's Notebook as well as rubrics for each, these will be based on the strategies I learned from a book study on Aimee Buckner's Notebook Connections and Notebook Know How.
I highly recommend these terrific resources!
If I successfully obtain my goal I will reward myself by getting something special for the classroom. For example, improving my listening center or buying more clocks for math.

  1. I like your idea of implementing a notebook for reader's and writer's workshop. I was wondering what grade you teach. I teach first grade and last year I used reader's workshop binders with pre-made worksheets. I am wondering if the book you read mentioned scaffolding for younger childred, such as pre-made charts for example, or if all ages wrote in notebooks?

  2. Carissa, I love that you are planning to reward your progress with special items for the classroom, but remember to make time and space for yourself, too. :)
